Metal Etching Workshop with Miranda Britton

This is a 4 hour workshop with a 1 hour break from 12-1 to explore the village.

Create stunning copper and brass jewellery from your own drawings! Using ferric chloride as an etchant, students will transfer images and drawings onto sheets of brass or copper that can then be shaped into various pieces of jewellery (earrings, pendants or cuff bracelets) using simple tools. Basic jewellery design principles will be discussed and an introduction to jewellery tools will be provided. Not interested in making jewellery? Participants can also make etched bookmarks, plaques or keychains!
