Arts, entertainment and

lifelong learning on the shores

of Lake Rosseau, Muskoka

Muskoka Chautauqua is an artistic community that nurtures curiosity and creativity.

It is one of Muskoka’s longest-running and iconic cultural institutions encompassing the arts, education and reflection, and springs from a tradition that started 100 years ago, when the region attracted North America’s leading thinkers to its tranquil retreats. Our vibrant arts community continues to entice participants to experience personal growth and to share innovative, creative ideas. You, too, can become part of this cultural phenomenon.

Thank you for the experience you gave us of Muskoka and Chautauqua and cranberries and the enchanting Wasan Island and a real autumn too—all in such a very short time!

You provided another new dimension of Chautauqua which brought us home deepened and inspired to continue our Chautauqua work with fervor!

M & K

On behalf of those guests attending this year’s gathering, I thank you for a job well done! The facility was well-appointed and comfortable (hotel), the retreat centre- peaceful and picturesque, the cuisine- hearty and delicious and the company- phenomenal!

So glad we could enjoy Muskoka Lakes fall colours and breathtaking scenery—and that we could get a sample of one of your programs, and hear more in depth, about some others.

Probably most everyone’s favorite part is hearing programs/initiatives from other Chautauquas—and giving thought to how we might adopt such ideas to run our home Chautauquas. I know I’m still swirling around many ideas in my head.
It was our pleasure to be your guests and enjoy your fine Canadian hospitality.
