Muskoka Chautauqua is a not-for-profit organization fostering arts and culture, culminating in a summer festival in the historic village of Windermere.

August 4–13, 2023

Muskoka Chautauqua is a community for the curious and creative.

Springing from a tradition that started 100 years ago, when the village of Windermere attracted North America’s leading thinkers to its shores, Muskoka Chautauqua is one of the longest-running and more iconic cultural institutions in the region.

SUMMER 2021 FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

After 18 long months of virtual-only events, Muskoka Chautauqua had the great honour of presenting safe and socially-distanced in-person Arts & Culture programming for ten days, in beautiful and historic Windermere Village, Muskoka, Canada.

Set outside, surrounded by nature and steps away from Lake Rosseau, summer 2021’s diverse programming included visual arts workshops, musical performances, documentary film screenings and discussions, authors’ panels, lectures, movement and meditation classes, and an art gallery in the woods.
