Author Insights: A Chat with Sean O’Toole
Like a Slow-Burning Fire is based on a series of events that the author, Sean O’Toole, experienced as a 23-year-old university student in Ottawa, Canada in 1988. It tells the story of how Sean was involved in a road-rage incident and it chronicles the emotional fall-out that ensued. Meanwhile, Sean’s in a relationship that’s being put to the test, and he’s trying to gain acceptance into a teaching program, but it’s not happening.
